The Prophet was asked which fast was most virtuous after Ramadan? He said: “Sha’ban in honour of Ramadan” He said: “Which charity is best?” He (pbuh) said: “Charity in Ramadan.” (Tirmidhi)

Narrated Ibn `Abbas RA:
The Prophet (pbuh) was the most generous of all the people, and he used to become more generous in Ramadan when Jibril met him. Jibril used to meet him every night during Ramadan to revise the Quran with him. Allah’s Messenger (pbuh) then used to be more generous than the fast wind. (Bukhari)
It was narrated from Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said:
“Whoever gives food for a fasting person to break his fast, he will have a reward like theirs, without that detracting from their reward in the slightest.” (Ibn Majah)
