IBFIM adopts a zero-tolerance approach towards bribery and corruption and strictly prohibits the giving, offering, soliciting, receiving, or acceptance of bribes or any form of corrupt gratification for any purpose.
The Board and Management of IBFIM are fully committed to implementing and enforcing effective policies, procedures, and controls to prevent, detect, and eliminate all forms of bribery and corrupt practices among employees and in all IBFIM’s activities, including dealings with stakeholders. This commitment supports the delivery of efficient services with integrity, in line with IBFIM’s Vision and Mission and national aspirations, through the following measures:
- Complying with and adhering to the provisions of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 (Act 694) including Section 17A (Corporate Liability) and all other applicable laws, regulations, rules, policies, and procedures in the performance of duties;
- Providing appropriate channels and encouraging the reporting of any suspected or alleged corrupt activities in accordance with the IBFIM Whistleblowing Policy;
- Prohibiting the giving, offering, promising, soliciting, or receiving of any gifts in contravention of the IBFIM Gift Management Policy;
- Assigning the IBFIM Integrity Unit the responsibility for monitoring compliance with this Policy and reporting to the Board; and
- Requiring every employee to read, understand, and comply with this Policy. Any non-compliance or violation may result in disciplinary action in accordance with IBFIM’s policies, procedures, directives, and guidelines, and/or legal action against the parties involved.
This Policy Statement shall be read together with the Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy, Code of Business Ethics, Whistleblowing Policy and Gift Management Policy of IBFIM.
